We are really kicking off 2015 with a bang: together with the ESL (Electronic Sports League), we are bringing you the next evolution of S.K.I.L.L. eSports!
The top class: the ESL Pro League
The best teams in S.K.I.L.L. will in future test their abilities in the ESL Pro League. This takes place in 2015 with two seasons and at least €30,000 prize money! The grand final for the first season of the league will be played out at the gamescom in Cologne. To ensure that you do not miss any of this first-class S.K.I.L.L. action, the grand final, the whole of the play-offs and selected group games will all be broadcast live by ESL TV – complete with commentary!
The promotion candidates: the ESL Major League
Whilst teams can find their way into the ESL Pro League through qualification tournaments, at the end of the season there will be a relegation and promotion system: the last two teams in the ESL Pro League will then drop down to the ESL Major League – where the best two from this league will then be promoted! This Major league also offers opportunities to win prize money: €3,000 per season – and the most important matches here will also be broadcast live by ESL TV.
The entry level for all: the ESL Open League
Alongside these two leagues, there will also be the ESL Open League. You can join here at any time and take part – it's perfect for teams who are just interested in giving eSports a try. If you enjoy the competitive play with other teams and then play your way to the top of the ESL Open League, then a chance to rise up into the ESL Major League will be waiting for you.
Action each week: Go4S.K.I.L.L.
The very popular Go4S.K.I.L.L. Cup will also be taking place in 2015 and your team will have the chance to win real cash each Sunday this year: simply register and play! The best teams of the month will play in a monthly final for even more money. The exact prize money distribution and information on registration can be found on the ESL's Go4S.K.I.L.L. portal!

The VERSUS matchmaking is also still available at the ESL, which makes for a perfect training ground for all these activities. There will of course also be loads of smaller cups in 2015, where the competition will not be quite as tough – a good example being the fun duels that take place as part of the 1on1 midweek cups!
